Once the user gets their money, they are promised higher returns and made to bet more money and end up losing all. Free: Calls and Messages to Viber users free. These sometimes include something as simple as liking YouTube videos. In most cases, they gain people's confidence by initially offering them a small reward for completing certain "task/tasks". The scammers pretend to be from a reputed company offering part-time jobs that can be carried out from home. If you respond to these calls or messages on WhatsApp, the person on the other side is most likely to offer a job that sounds promising and requires you to do little. Many of these calls are part of international scams. This makes it critical that you not answer such calls. If you are getting such calls, it very likely means that you are being targeted by scammers. Beyond this point, you bounce between long waits, getting transferred to some other team, get disconnected. ![]() Therefore my phone call needs to be queued for “combined billing” team. In my case, they don’t have access to perform step 2.B) because my account is a “combined bill” type. Several proactively shared a technical glitch due to which the call gets routed via AT&T network instead of WiFiĢ.B) Therefore they remove/adjust the charges and/or issue a credit. Similarly, there is $201+Tax (Aug) & $90+tax(Sep) of unexpected chargesĢ I have been calling AT&T for over 1.5 months but ,unfortunately, that experience has been much more frustrating.Ģ.A) Most folks in the “wireless” support team easily understand and acknowledge it isn't the customer's fault. A month away from the Digital Markets Act (DMA) deadline, WhatsApp is preparing to allow other messaging networks in its app. So my bill skyrocketed : a phone line that has been costing under $40 ($35 + tax ) per month is over $500 on my July bill. Perhaps not quite as well-known as WhatsApp, Viber is still a popular choice for cross-platform and international communications with more than 1 billion users. My July 2022 bill has 90 min of international calls billed to me at $4 per minute + tax. AT&T charges insanely high rates while customers don’t have any clue about the bill. For me the issue started in June 2022 and continued in July and August. Tap on the phone or video icon to initiate the call. Like so many AT&T customers on this forum, I also use WhatsApp for international calls and got an unpleasant surprise from AT&T claiming a bunch of the calls went over AT&T network - possibly due to technical glitches. ![]()
